Dr. Stephanie A. Mooring, Director | |
Stephanie Mooring joined the Academic Resource Center (ARC) in 2004 and became director of the ARC in 2016. Dr. Mooring supervises the Supplemental Instruction program and coordinates the professional tutoring labs serving the Regional Academic Centers and the Atlanta Campus. Dr. Mooring also manages the ARC's Online Writing Lab, Online Math Lab, and Online Science Lab, serves as administrator for College Study Skills (LSK 185 & 186) courses, and serves as an instructor for a First-Year Student Experience (UNV 101) course. Dr. Mooring holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Mercer University's Tift College of Education as well as a M.S. in Technical Communication Management from Mercer University's School of Engineering. | ![]() |
Tamar Perla Cantwell, Assistant Director | |
Tamar Perla Cantwell joined the Academic Resource Center in 2016. She manages the Macon campus peer tutoring program, conducts peer tutor training workshops to facilitate individual CRLA tutor certification, teaches College Study Skills courses (LSK 185 and 186), delivers study skills workshops, and monitors the Online Writing Lab’s daily operations. Ms. Cantwell holds a Master of Arts in English (Creative Writing) from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California at Berkeley. | ![]() |
Anna Marmolejo Rios, Administrative Coordinator | |
Anna Marmolejo Rios joined the Academic Resource Center in January 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wesleyan College in Macon, GA. Ms. Rios is a Psi Chi International Honors Society and Phi Theta Kappa Honors alumna with a background in psychology research. Ms. Rios manages the ARC’s staff of lab assistants and works closely with all staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the facility. |
