About Us

Taneisha Brown joined Mercer University in 2023 and became the assistant director of the ARC in the summer of 2024. Mrs. Brown supervises the peer tutoring program on the Macon campus and serves as an instructor for College Study Skills (LSK 185 & 186) and First-Year Student Experience (UNV 101) courses. She shares duties in coordinating the programs of the Academic Resource Center (ARC) in training, supervising, and evaluating student assistants. Mrs. Brown holds a M.S. in Adult Education and Human Resource Development from Florida International University’s College of Arts, Sciences and Education and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Florida International University’s College of Arts, Sciences and Education.

Chelsea Cross joined the ARC in November 2024. She graduated cum laude from Middle Georgia State University in Macon, Georgia, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Ms. Cross is a member of the Psi Chi International Honor Society of Psychology and the National Society of Leadership and Success, and was a recipient of the R. A. Bowen Trust Scholarship, the Jacques FDN Scholarship, and the Bank of America Scholarship. Ms. Cross manages the ARC's staff of lab assistants and works closely with all staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
